New Christmas EP

December 9, 2009
The first-ever Christmas EP contemporizes three classic holiday carols in Haberdashery's signature style. A haunting a cappella version of Carol Of The Bells, a toe-tapping rendition of Little Drummer Boy, and a touching arrangement of O Holy Night comprise the holiday release that's a must for any wish list.

Valence review

September 2, 2009
From Todd Durrant of A Different Drum: This is the fifth release from this cool synthpop act. One of those previous releases is a selection of cover tunes from Erasure, and that perfectly illustrates Haberdashery’s musical influence. This album is packed with cheerful melodies, light synthesizers, and a strong lyrical focus on the high emotions of love.

Valence featured on "Electropup"

August 20, 2009
Just been pointed in the direction of ‘Haberdashery‘, which I think is just one bloke – Stephen Pearlman. If you like your synthpop with a dream like quality and not in your face, then this could be for you. On the latest album/Cd/mp3 download – ‘Valence‘ – the bubbly and bleepy synths remind me of Yazoo more than anything, but the vocals are more Andy Bell or Martin Gore. It’s sometimes dancey and sometimes not. Sounds like thought has gone into the songs too. ‘2 become 1′ is the catchiest track on ‘Valence’ and the mellower ‘Eternity’ is probably my favourite on a 1st listen. Another tracked I picked up on from a previous release was ‘Latter days’.

Aletheia review

From Todd Durrant of A Different Drum: This is a very pleasant, melodic synthpop album where the male voice is as smooth as silk. It sounds like a bouncier, synth-enhanced version of somebody like Frazier Chorus. This sounds like something that could have come out in the late 80's or early 90's and risen to the top."

Tour De Force 1

"The Greatest Heights" has been selected for inclusion on a new independent music compilation "Tour De Force 1."
"Gentle, spooky, beautiful. Music for driving long distances, resting the mind, taking it easy, soothing the troubled beast. Nice stuff."
