Tonight The Angels

The fifth Haberdashery album, "Tonight The Angels" is released. The new ten track offering comes amid a steady stream of singles and follows the 2010 twelve part free EP series. The new studio album continues the evolution of Haberdashery's modern synthpop sound. The title track ballad and the upbeat tracks "You Save My Life" and "Fall Into My Arms" accompany seven other new tracks. The album journeys through an electronic soundscape that twines together an optimistic future with a nostalgia for the past.

"Tonight Is Forever" is released. This is the sixth single from "Tonight The Angels", and follows the release of the album itself. The release includes remixes by Studio Nicky, Lost Robot, markymix, Destination, and Bionica. The single is available as a free download.

Also featured are the 12 Inch Mix, the acoustic version, and a cover of Lady Gaga's "Marry The Night". A website exclusive instrumental version is also included in the digital download.

Mind - Remix

In May of 2011, kikai, the collaborative musicians' group based in Germany, contributed an ethereal remix of "The Last One That You Love" for its single release. Now, Haberdashery has remixed "Mind", a kikai instrumental with a beautiful piano melody.

By keeping the original kikai piano recording, the song's lyrical line becomes woven into the Haberdashery remix. You can listen to the new track here, as well as explore more about kikai and the various projects they are involved in around the world.

The Last One That You Love

"The Last One That You Love" is released. The fifth single from the 2011 Haberdashery album, "Tonight The Angels", includes remixes by Conversation, kikai, Madsen, markymix, Optic, and !distain. Along with the remixes, an acoustic version and a 12 inch mix are included. A new piano version of "The Last One That You Love", featuring solo pianist Aaron Eitan Meyer, and a synthpop rendition of "One Hand, One Heart" from West Side Story complete the single. A music video was also released with the single, filmed by Stefan Klenk.

Geometry - Remix

Earlier this year, the synthpop band Hyperbubble remixed "Don't Break My Heart", for the second Haberdashery single of 2011. Now, Haberdashery has remixed a Hyperbubble track, "Geometry". The remix will be included in the forthcoming Director's Cut of their new album, "Drastic Cinematic". "Geometry" features guest vocalist Manda Rin from Scotland, who sang the Powerpuff Girls theme song.

Stay

The fourth release from the 2011 Haberdashery album, "Tonight The Angels", is out now. The single, "Stay", includes a 12" mix, an acoustic version, and remixes by Vista, markymix, and People Theatre.

Also featured is a new recording of a 2004 Haberdashery song, "Lie To Me". A website exclusive instrumental version of "Stay" is included in the digital download.

The third release from Haberdashery's new album, "Tonight The Angels", is released. The "Fall Into My Arms" single includes a 12" mix, an acoustic version, and remixes by Eloquent, Lost Robot, mOOger!, and markymix.

La Pham Nikita

New artwork has been commissioned for the "Tonight The Angels" releases in 2011. Each single will be viewed as a "book", and Haberdashery fans have contributed their own books for the covers of each single. Henna artist La Pham Nikita has created original designs for the album covers, as well as henna inspired lettering for the text.

A Different Drum VIP Series

A Different Drum, the electronic pop shop, recently began a monthly VIP CD series which features exclusive content never before pressed to disc to an exclusive pool of just 200 subscribers worldwide. The December 2010 issue is 14 tracks of the best 2010 Haberdashery Remixes.

The Best Friend

Comedy webseries "The Best Friend" features the music of Haberdashery. The markymix of "I Try To Tell You" is the closing credits music, and “The Window (markymix)” is the soundtrack to the online teaser. Starring Allie Smith and Marilyn Anne Michaels, "The Best Friend" is a buddy love comedy web series that explores watching a romantic comedy through the eyes of the best friend rather than the ingenue or leading lady.

For the 2009 Christmas EP, Haberdashery commissioned BluBoy for a unique new cover art design. BluBoy comics is drawn and written by Ryan Spencer.

I Love You Too

"I Love You Too" is the fourth single from the Haberdashery album, "Valence". The tracklist includes energetic remixes from Destination, Bispatial, davidmahr, Javier Zubizarreta, and Synthetik FM. The b-sides for the single are Haberdashery's new cover of "New Favorite", originally performed by Alison Krauss and written by Gillian Welch, and a Spanish version of "I Love You Too", translated by Leonel Benavides, Jr. Concluding the single is markymix's beautifully haunting interpretation of the title track. A grassroots video comprised of fan photos was also created to coincide with the release of the single.

Stars

"Stars" is a layered, melodious synthpop love song of the most ardent variety. Remixes by The Psyche Celebration! and markymix offer a danceable and 8bit spin on the song and accompany variations on the album version. A brand new version of "Two Become One", the Instant Infant Remix (by Jens Lyd and Brian Belloni) brings a distinctly European energy to the track. A 2009 version of Haberdashery's 2004 track "I'm Lost", revolving around unrequited love, makes for a perfect counter to the joyous title track. The "Stars" video is set to the 8bit Chiptune markymix and features Cubism visualizations by Cody Williams and additional production by markymix.

Two Become One

Timothy Wright

Famed Chicago artist and educator, Timothy Wright, was commissioned to create a series of five original pieces of art for the 2009 Haberdashery "Valence" releases. Tim is also created an exclusive font by painting each letter used in the album artwork, and the numbers one through ten.
